شهرت و محبوبیت «استینگ» جهانی‌ست. جهان برای او در کودکی خلاصه می‌شد در کارگاه‌های کشتی‌سازی و وانت شیرفروش پدرش. استینگ پس از مدرسه کار کردن را با پاره کردن بلیت اتوبوس، کارگری ساختمان، کارمندی بیمه و معلمی مدرسه آغاز کرد، اما در مسیر زندگی‌اش با مسائل و آدم‌هایی مواجه شد که شخصیت او را شکل و مسیرش را به سمت موسیقی تغییر دادند. استینگ با گروه پلیس به شهرت رسید و پس از آن فعالیت انفرادی خود را در اواسط دهه 80 آغاز کرد. در این قسمت از پادکست آلبوم با زندگی استینگ از کودکی همراه می‌شوید، از پدر و مادرش که نقش مهمی در زندگی و هنر او داشتند می‌شنوید، استینگ را در مسیر زندگی با کارهای گوناگون و آغاز فعالیت هنری‌اش دنبال می‌کنید و در نهایت به آلبوم انفرادی سوم او با عنوان «قفسهای روح» می‌رسید. آلبومی که استینگ تحت تاثیر پدرش و در قالب یک داستان آن را ساخته است.
