Glass Tiger drummer Michael Hanson says that Def Leppard owned the 80's, and well I do agree in the rock space they did (altho Michael Jackson and Phil Collins I believe owned charts) - Today Michael and Bobby R. Rock and I discuss Def Leppard of the 80's. From "On Through the Night" to "High N Dry" to "Pyromania" and "Hysteria" the band evolved from a hard core rock band to a pop/rock charting machine. Songs like "Photograph", "Rock of Ages"defined them early on with producer Mutt Lange. Hysteria really broke the band wide open to many music fans. After a horrific accident in 1984 that cost drummer Rick Allen his arm the band put together one of the best musical rock/pop gems ever with the release of "Hysteria" ---"Love Bites" "Hysteria" and of course "Pour Some Sugar on Me" were radio staples in the late 80.s. Leppard has sold more than 100 Millions albums worldwide and both Pyromania and Hysteria have been Diamond Certified by the RIAA.
We break down the best of Leppard and discuss one of the most revealed bands to come out of Sheffield!
