Today, we're talking about former NFL quarterback Michael Vick and his merry band of cohorts (Tony Taylor, Quanis Phillips, Devon Boddie, and Purnell Peace), but way more importantly, we're going to talk about the heroic efforts shelters and rescue organizations made to save the dogs he tortured and exploited! I'm not gonna lie, pet people, this one has me very angry and sad. But I do think this is a very important story to tell. Especially since history was made in this case, and though it may only be a small step forward in the fight against animal cruelty, I want to celebrate it! Listen to learn about how "Bad Newz Kennels" turned from a place of absolute horror to a haven for safety and hope. Hopefully, with more eyes opened to the special kind of hell that is dog-fighting, we'll be able to put a stop to it forever!
