Parenting teens can be very difficult and tiresome waters to navigate, but it doesn't have to be. Dr. Cameron Caswell tells us "Teens act out because they feel misunderstood. Teens feel misunderstood because they ARE misunderstood. If we learn to understand our teens we remove their need to act out. Then we can change our focus from reining them in to rising them up."

In this episode, Dr. Cam. offers hope to parents as to what their teens desire in relationships with their parents, ways to Show Up Strong for your teens, and how we need to do less of the doing and more of the listening and supporting during this season of parenting.

Cameron (Dr. Cam) Caswell, PhD is an adolescent psychologist, family success coach, teen translator, author, and the host of “Parenting Teens with Dr. Cam” podcast. She is on a mission to help parents build strong, positive relationships with their teens through improved communication, connection, and understanding using her PRIME Parenting Method. Dr. Cam is the mom of a teen too, so she not only talks the talk, she walks the walk!
