Gown: A long robe worn during graduation. "The graduates wore blue gowns." 7. Commencement: Another word for graduation ceremony. "The commencement starts at seven and will be held in the gym." 8. Speech: Talking to a group of people. "The principal gave a commencement speech at graduation." 9. Degree: A title you get when you finish college. "He earned a degree in biology." Also a way to measure temperature. โ€œIt is forty-four degrees outside.โ€ 10. Valedictorian: The student with the highest grades in the graduating class. "The valedictorian gave a speech.โ€
