On September 24, 2017, President Trump issued Presidential Proclamation 9645 (Travel Ban 3.0), which currently imposes country-specific travel restrictions on nationals of Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen. The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the legality of Travel Ban 3.0 on June 26, 2018, allowing the travel restrictions to remain in effect. The speakers will examine the ramifications of the Supreme Court's recent decision, and discuss strategies for advising clients who may be impacted by the travel ban, including possible exemptions and the waiver application process.
