Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. Jeff Christie grew up in the UK in the 50s and 60s listening to the early days of country, and rock and roll. The desire to write songs and make music won him over at an early age, leading him to eventually write the hit song, "Yellow River," which hit the top of the charts in 26 countries and sold 30 million copies world wide. Jeff joins us on this edition for Americana Music Profiles to talk about that song, his career, and his latest album due out this September, Here And Now.
