Soon after I started working for Zivid I realized that I want to understand how structured light can create detailed 3D images of objects. How does shining different patterns of light on objects tell us anything about their geometrical structure?

To figure this out, I decided to create a simple test scene in Blender, with a camera and projector separated by a small distance.
