Part 1 - Neville James talks with meteorologist with Manuel Ramos of the National Weather Service in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Hurricane Beryl became the earliest Category 5 hurricane on record in the Atlantic Ocean. Its winds reached 160 mph as it barreled through the southeastern Caribbean. This strength shattered the previous record by more than 2 weeks. Hurricane Emily achieved Category 5 status on July 17, 2005. Beryl made landfall on Grenada's Carriacau Island as a Category 4 storm, causing widespread damage with 150 mph winds.
