The Beginning of the End: What should we do when life isn't fair? For the Christian, it helps to see that in his arrest, trial, and condemnation — and, of course, in his death on the cross — Jesus didn't get what he deserved. He got what we deserved. None of this was fair. But in the injustice of the Great Exchange, in taking our death and giving us his life, we have everything we need to endure and indeed flourish, even in our failings.
