Junto a tablillas escritas en cuneiforme silábico y lengua acadia, y junto a algunos testimonios menos numerosos en otras lenguas y escrituras, en Ugarit se han hallado gran número de tablillas en alfabeto cuneiforme y lengua ugarítica.
