Amrita Virdi is a painter and a collage artist. She creates abstract expressionist paintings and adds collage to them to create surrealist narratives. She has taught painting, drawing, and sculpture for the past 8 years. She enjoys sharing her process with others and creating spaces for others to create with confidence. During the pandemic she has been exploring the limitless possibilities of digital collage. She is currently teaching digital mediums to students and working on evolving and adapting her own practise.
On today’s episode Amrita talks about her residency in India and how it has continued to shape her work to this day as well as her recent venture into digital work.
