Personal initiative is vital because it allows you as an individual to take ownership of your life and make things happen rather than waiting for someone else to do it. When you take personal initiative, you are proactively working towards achieving your goals rather than simply reacting to situations as they arise. This proactive approach can lead to more tremendous success, fulfillment, and satisfaction in life.

This new moon holds significant cultural and spiritual importance for many indigenous peoples, including our community. The new moon represents a time of new beginnings, fresh starts, and renewal for our communities. It is a time for setting intentions, planning, and starting new projects. This new moon is also a time when the veil between the physical and spiritual worlds is thinner, allowing for a deeper connection with the spiritual realm and increased access to guidance and wisdom. By starting new endeavors on this new moon, Indigenous people believe we are aligning ourselves with the natural rhythms of the universe and setting ourselves up for success in our endeavors.

In many of our Indigenous communities, the new moon is a time for renewal and setting intentions for the coming lunar cycle. It is seen as a time to release negative energy and habits and to begin anew. Some communities use the new moon as a time for purification or prayer, while others see it as a time for spiritual reflection and meditation.
