Samantha Meeker interviews Phyllis Taylor, a Florida based artist.
Phyllis A. Taylor is a Philadelphia born artist who signs her artwork as 'Pannet', a combination of her first and last initials and her middle name. Phyllis was trained in figurative drawing and painting at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from The Philadelphia College of Art. Phyllis also studied Art Management at The American University in Washington, DC and worked in the graphics and photography department and as an artist for USA Today in Roslyn, VA. Phyllis A. Taylor’s illustrations have been published in Air Jamaica Magazine, “How to Plan a Conservation Education Program” by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, The Sunday Gleaner (a Jamaican newspaper), Canterbury Bridge & Other Poems of Jamaica by Paul Muse, and she has a portrait caricature (John Garvey) displayed in The Palm Restaurant in Washington, DC.
