"Put on some makeup and turn on the deck tape" as Heyd and Erin explore this groundbreaking musical comedy-drama Hedwig and the Angry Inch with San Antonio-based artist Christie Blizard. With a botched sex change surgery that was forced upon him, Hansel becomes Hedwig, the fabulous transgender singer who expresses her trauma through iconic ballads. Christie also connects to the idea of transformation by tapping into ancient spiritual text that has informed their studio practice through experimental performance while exploring the process of being trans species. We promise you won't have to give up part of yourself for love, but please remember that bras do NOT go in the dryer!

Tangents include: bad art schools, Farrah Fawcett, Blues Traveler's song Hook, Hedwig perfume, Octopi or Octolpuses, plant memories, regional art
