Mary Beth Voda, Writer and Independent Historian, on the life and work of Philip Van Doren Stern, who was born in Wyalusing, PA. He was the author who wrote the story on which the classic movie, "It's A Wonderful Life" was based. Mary Beth Voda has written articles for Endless Mountains Magazine and Happenings (Dec 2017) about Stern and his ties to northeastern PA. There will be a free series of screenings of the film at the Dietrich Theater in Tunkhannock on Tuesday, December 12 at 2:00, 7:00 and 8:00 pm, at 60 E. Tioga Street www.dietrichtheater.com/
