The past few months have brought much in terms of fear into our daily lives. As Christians, we are told repeatedly in Scripture to "Fear not." But why is this so hard to put into practice, especially as we see a world deteriorating around us? When fear rises, we must put into practice other patterns of behavior and ways of thinking. We must consistently rest in God's word. We must remain in prayer. And we must put fear underneath the authority of Christ, day after day.
Knowing that we are seen and that we are loved are powerful reminders. God knows us. He formed us. And He knows us beyond the fear we may get tripped up by. We can trust Him and we can know we have a destiny that is beyond any temporary fear or anxiety. We must step into that destiny and bring His hope to the world. Because He overcame His fear, we can also overcome (by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony). Hallelujah!
