Welcome to Season 2, Episode 41! As huge fans of Top Chef, we were so over the moon excited to get a chance to interview Top Chef 19 winner Buddha Lo. He is the sixth Top Chef winner of Asian Pacific Islander descent, but Buddha did it in a unique way. Originally hailing from Australia, Buddha went to Houston having prepared for the competition like no other contestant before him, and it showed. His creations were consistently beautiful, delicious, and refined. In our conversation, we talk about his preparation for Top Chef, his dedication to family, how he and his wife Rebekah support each other, his hopes for the future of fine dining, and so much more. We even talk a little about how previous Top Chef contestants like Dale Talde are harder judges. Skilled, confident, and yet still so down-to-earth, Buddha’s work can be found at Marky’s Caviar on Madison Ave and Huso.
