Tahmina is a frequent speaker, blogger, author and host of Tahmina Talks Immigration, a talk show that used to air on Desi 1250am in Seattle and is currently a podcast on Apple Podcasts. She advises organizations and non-profit organizations on immigration policy issues, sometimes even law and policymakers. She is an Adjunct Fellow at The Niskanen Center, a Washington DC-based think tank, where she advises on immigration policy issues. Tahmina often provides free legal advice at local legal clinics. She is an active volunteer for Chaya, a Seattle based non-profit organization that assists battered South Asian women. She speaks, reads, writes (and sings when playing her harmonium) Bengali fluently; she also gets by with conversational Hindi and Urdu.
