In January 2025, the HVAC industry will officially begin its transition to the use of A2L, a different class of refrigerants, in all new systems. Such a major change, of course, comes with a lot of unknowns. What does A2L even mean? How is it different from what is currently being used in home systems? And what will this transition mean to homeowners over the next several years? In this episode, we demystify A2L, talk through some of the changes that will accompany this transition, and highlight some of the pros and cons for homeowners.
