The history of tea is fascinating, it is an integral part of our everyday life, we have been drinking tea for over 350 years, India is the second biggest tea producing country in the world.
My guest in this episode is Rajah Banerjee who is considered as the King of the Tea Business in India. His family has been in the tea business for over 350 years. He is the former owner of one of the most celebrated Tea Estates in the country “Makaibari Tea Estate”
Mr Banerjee is a pioneer in the organic movement in Darjeeling and in 2018, he started an artisanal tea brand known as Rimpocha, in order to mentor small growers of Darjeeling.
