Der XXVI Planetary Congress wird veranstaltet von der Association of Space Explorers (ASE) und ausgerichtet vom Institut für Luft- und Raumfahrtmedizin des Deutschen Zentrums für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) in Köln. Neben Köln, Aachen und Bonn werden die Astronauten im Rahmen des Kongresses unter dem Motto „Citizens of Space -- Stewards of Earth" unter anderem auch Berlin, Bremen, Dresden und Friedrichshafen besuchen. In öffentlichen Veranstaltungen berichten die Teilnehmer über ihre Arbeit im All und deren Nutzen für die Erde. Diese Veranstaltung reiht sich übrigens in das Themenjahr "Luft- und Raumfahrt" 2013 der Kölner Wissenschaftsrunde ein. Mehr Informationen unter www.ase26.org.
