A new report from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) details more about what happened on a Gwinnett County transit bus that was hijacked on Tuesday.
Joseph Grier, 39, is accused of holding the bus’ passengers hostage and leading law enforcement on a lengthy chase that started in Atlanta and ended in DeKalb County. He also allegedly shot and killed one of the passengers.
Grier was at the scene of a previous shooting and spoke on camera about his bipolar disorder. Atlanta News First spoke to a psychiatrist about the condition and state of mental health care.
