"August 2 Stories" is a Talon podcast series created in the 2017-18 school year. It allowed members of the Minnehaha Academy community in Minneapolis to tell their stories of surviving the gas explosion of August 2, 2017, which destroyed the core of the 104-year-old campus. The series is hosted by M.A. senior Emma Melling. WINNER: The New York Times Student Podcast Awards. WINNER: First Place, Digital Story of the Year, Podcast division, National Scholastic Press Association.
