Laura Ploenzke, one of the Avon Lake Public Library’s Adult Services Librarians, talks with host Jen Miller about her work in the Library’s history room and the tools and classes offered to help with genealogy research.

Upcoming events happening in Avon Lake:

  • January 11, 7:00 PM: Community Improvement Corporation Meeting at City Hall
  • January 12: Curbside Leaf Pickup Ends. Service will resume in early November 2024.
  • January 12, 4:00 PM: Deadline for Statements of Qualification from Geotechnical Engineering Firms
  • January 18, 7:00 PM: Environmentally Speaking: Thrifting 101 presentation at the Avon Lake Public Library

Christmas trees will be collected the first and second full weeks of January. Ornaments, tinsel, etc. must be removed and the tree cannot be encased in plastic. Trees that are taller than six feet must be cut in half.
