A Soldier's Story. An interview with The Comeback Coach, Richard Kaufman
Manage episode 427787936 series 2890598
Richard Kaufman had it all figured out. After a medical discharge from the military, he would drive his truck at 100 mph along the The NJ Turnpike, and let his Dodge Ram 1500 hit a concrete pylon, ending his life.
But a song on the radio by George Strait, "I Saw God Today," changed the direction of his life. Today Richard has one of the top 10 veteran's support podcasts in the world.
Legally blind, Richard shares his journey from his book A Hero's Journey to getting clean and sober, and how his family protects his "blind spots."
If you are a veteran, THIS is the episode for you...
