Sy Smith has been a force in the Indie Soul scene since its inception. Always a lady; but don't mess with her. Sy has a way of unapologetically getting what she wants with a smile.
Since the beginnings of Indie Soul, Sy has written a plethora of songs of other artists like Adina Howard, Gerald Albright and more. Sung backgrounds many of the greats in music. For example Kenny Lattimore, Chris Botti, Meshelle NdegeOcello, the Legendary Whitney Houston and the list goes on. As a matter of fact she was on of the premiere background vocalist on American Idol. I this wasn't enough Sy is also a star of stage and screen. Appearing in several plays and TV Shows.
A true renaissance woman, Sy shows no signs of slowing down. The latest release "Until We Meet Again" showcases her talent of mixing genres of music to create her own beautiful, indelible sound.
