Threatin made headlines earlier this year after the new broke that they were playing to nearly empty rooms, despite apparently having a massive following on Facebook and YouTube. What quickly came to light was that this was a venture built on fake followers, paid YouTube views, and a mountain of fictitious organizations that all existed to inflate the apparent fame of one man: Jered Eames. This is his story.
