The Bats Left Throws Right Season 1 finale is joined by long time manager Dave Machemer. A fourth round draft pick by the Anaheim Angels in 1972, he was called up to the big leagues by the Halos in 1978 and hit a home run during his first MLB at-bat. Dave would play for the Detroit Tigers the following season and appeared as player in 11 MiLB seasons. After his playing career ended, Dave continued to work in the game he loved as a coach and manager. Dave has made stops as a skipper in the systems of the Milwaukee Brewers, Montreal Expos, Baltimore Orioles, and San Francisco Giants. Since making his managerial debut in 1985, he has collected over 1,600 minor league wins across 23 MiLB seasons. Dave last managed the Double-A Richmond Flying Squirrels in 2013, before being hired as a scout with Baltimore. Tune in for more on Dave's lengthy career in baseball as we wrap up our debut season!
