A two-sport athlete at the highest levels in the amateur and professional setting, Brian Johnson joins the podcast to reminisce and talk about his playing days. Brian entered Stanford University on a full scholarship as a 2 sport athlete, playing QB and catching for the Cardinal football and baseball teams. In 25 games as a QB, Johnson threw for 3,334 yard with a 115.4 PER while also collecting 112 hits and driving in 54 RBIs on the diamond. Drafted 413th overall by the NY Yankees in the 1989 MLB draft, Johnson went on to have a 9 year MLB career playing for the Padres, Tigers, Giants, Royals and Dodgers. Johnson was very instrumental in assisting the SF Giants with their scouting efforts at the MLB level and was described by many in the organization as a key component of the 2012 World Series Championship.
