It's thought that air strikes on the Iraqi city of Mosul have caused mass civilian deaths. An Iraqi Vice President said "a humanitarian catastrophe" is unfolding because of the excessive use of fire power in the operation to drive out militants from the group Islamic state.

The US-led coalition is investigating reports that one of its air attacks killed more than 100 civilians in the west of the city on ten days ago. The BBC's Orla Guerin met civilians casualties at a field hospital south of #Mosul.

Broadcast on @bbcPM & @bbcworldservice on Monday 27th March, 2017.

Produced by Nicola Careem & mixed by Piers Scholfield.
