Listen in as Regina the Queen of Car Loans, Dr. Teresa Moore, and Gill Garrett talk about maintenance and what it means to each of them, from maintaining your car to maintaining your spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being.
Regina, Teresa, and Gill also talk about the financial literacy movement being introduced into our education system and their thoughts on the controversy that's come up since being introduced in 8 states already, soon to be 7 more - including Michigan!
Leonica Porter of Champion Church in Dearborn, the overseer of Pastor Porter, talks with us about Champ Madness. Champ Madness is a program that happens once a year during March Madness. Champ Madness gives back to the community by providing a handful of students with care packages to shine God's light and to be an encouragement.
The program has been going on for 3 years. This year Church Madness is sponsoring 64 students at Eastern Michigan University, of which Leonica Porter is a graduate. There are 4 special needs students in the group around the age of 18 or 19. Other students in the group are being supported by their parents, some working 2-3 jobs.
"It's all about giving back."
-Leonica Porter
To donate to Champ Madness, text CCGIVE to 54244. Every bit helps - from $1 up to $100.
"I spoke with the group last week and tears were flowing because they're so happy to be receiving care packages from us."
