In the 51st episode of Be Real, I will be joined by David O, a bestselling author and entrepreneur. He runs Rich Culture Media, an online publication with the mission of inspiring financial success. He is also a consultant and strategist to several businesses and investment firms. He is the king of swag, per Vikram, yet a laid back and chill guy, who loves to talk about money and psychology! David uncovers the billionaire secrets of life that make the rich richer. He changes the way people think about money, and finds the unique psychological advantage to create and retain wealth.

David is a dedicated author and committed himself to write a thousand words per day. Writing has been his way to seek comfort and put his thoughts into words. His humbling childhood experience made him even more inspired in writing and inspire other people.

He grew up in a middle class family in a middle class city, where both his parents were federal government workers. He was born and raised in West Africa, where such occupation is more like a middle class income relative to the standards of the town. His parents gave him an opportunity to study in the United States but he refused. Who would refuse such an offer? Listen to this episode to know the reason.

David shares how it's been a humbling experience for him at such a young age to be exposed to the two different sides of the coin. When he joined the student exchange program, he went to a remote area where poverty struck hard. Having a sight of the situation became an eye opener for him, and gave him a lot of perspective. He feels truly blessed for being able to see the life of people living in extreme poverty, and to see the life of people who are extremely wealthy.

If there is one thing I would like you to listen to, it is his discipline and dedication. I guess when you get to experience the extremes of the world, you will see things differently and live a humble life. I am so honored to have had this opportunity to interview such an amazing soul and a mighty businessman!

Make sure you listen to these tracks:

02:25 - Wealthy in the other side of the world

09:40 - "I won't drive a car unless I own it."

13:00 - The parents secrets kept in a pancake

17:05 - He finds comfort in writing

19:47 - What is money and how do you psychologically see it?
