Tonight’s show will prove groundbreaking, I promise. The Shroud of Turin has been rumored to be the most scientifically studied artifact on earth. In 1978, a team of experts calling themselves STRP, converged on the Vatican with the finest equipment known to science to study, photograph, and image the Shroud. STRP was allowed 120 hours with the Shroud, they used 16 scientists for a sum total of 1920 man-hours. The result was, STRP offered no explanation of how the image was left on the Shroud. A decade later, Carbon-14 dating was performed setting the Shroud's date in the 13th Century. Or, did it? Many now agree a weaving process was employed in the 17th Century to save the aging Shroud. And, the Carbon-14 dating actually offered an averaged age. Tonight’s show offers a brand new summary of STRP, scientific work, Carbon-14 dating, God, Christ and the Resurrection.
