Because He Lives is the radio ministry of the Greater Pittsburgh Revival Center. We have dedicated our lives to serving others in the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the poor; to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised (Luke 4:18). Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world (James 1:27). And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled (Luke 14:23). To reach out to lost humanity in love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance (Galatians 5:22-23). To go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:15-16). Our History Pastor Pudge grandparents were Pastors Dan and Anne Ofchinick, called by God to build a "House of Prayer for all People", built the Pittsburgh Revival Center on California Avenue, in the Northside of Pittsburgh. The dedication was September 1955. For thirty years they ministered from that church to thousands and thousands of people throughout the tri-state area. Many were saved, filled with the Holy ghost, healed, and set free from the bondage of Satan. Buses were purchased and children from everywhere were brought to Sunday School. Truly God blessed through their ministry. They were pioneers in the "Move of God" to the city of Pittsburgh. On the radio seven days a week on WPIT 730AM for over thirty years, they brought forth the Gospel of Jesus Christ to countless people. Many were saved and healed through their ministry. The Lord impressed them to build a round church on McKnight Road in Pittsburgh, PA, which they did. The Greater Pittsburgh Revival Center was dedicated in 1985. Even after the passing of Pastors Dan and Anne Ofchinick, the word of God continues to be ministered in demonstration of the Spirit and of power through Pastor Pudge. For over sixty years, the Blood-Stained Banner of Jesus Christ has been lifted high. The Greater Pittsburgh Revival Center remains a "House of Prayer for All People". (Isaiah 56:7)
