In today's society, the world that makes up celebrities and pop culture, in general, can best be described as a circus and that's still sugarcoating it. From athletes to actors and actresses to musicians, sometimes we tend to forget how much influence these people can have over everything, and cancel culture in many ways is a by-product of that powerful and sometimes dangerous influence. Cancel culture has exacted its wrath on a number of celebrities but I think there have been few in recent memory who have truly felt its wrath more than Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West and I mean this is not undeserved or not for no reason either, unless you have been living under a rock the past few months than you have absolutely heard of Ye’s controversies, antisemitic comments and problematic antics. It's crazy because controversy, in general, was pretty much synonymous with Ye before he went on his latest run of problematic behavior from Taylor Swift, wearing the confederate flag, his TMZ outburst about slavery or his presidential rally meltdown Ye has been doing this for a while now. But his recent actions have clearly made a bigger impact than any wrongdoing Ye has done before so, and it kinda feels like it happened quick so today we are going to be chronicling the unfortunate descent of Ye’s problematic behavior into a comprehensive timeline, right here on Before They Were Famous.
