We've heard from a lot of people that have wanted to build their own bike frame but never felt comfortable trying it out. Enter Rich Bernoulli, an instructor at the United Bicycle Institute who has been inspiring and teaching people to build bike frames for nearly a decade. UBI offers two week long courses starting you at ground zero welding/brazing practice right on up through assembling a complete frame. They also help students wade through the confusion of picking and ordering frame parts so that you are getting exactly the bike you want. Check out their frame building courses on their website and make sure to take a look at the other courses they offer for general bike mechanics and advanced topics like wheel building and shock repair.
