The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, this verse from 1 Timothy 6 is often misquoted and used out of context. Today we are going to unpack the corrosive effects of the love of money as well as the life-giving effects of complete contentedness in Christ. God has blessed us richly with riches beyond what most in the world could even dream, yet most of us don't think of ourselves as rich, in fact many of us spend time lamenting how poor we are. This message is meant is to wake us up to the reality that we might be blind to our materialism, so that the Lord might cultivate godly contentedness in us.
