Jaydon Martin is one of Australia's most exciting new directors following his debut feature film Flathead. Set in the town of Bundaberg, this docufiction explores regional Australian life in ways that are equal parts poetic and beautiful as they are harsh and sobering. Jaydon spoke to fellow rural Queenslanders Wendell and Clancy about his inspiration for the film and the audience reception since its release.

Flathead will be screening at select cinemas and festivals over the next two weeks:

Sydney:
The Golden Age Cinema: 23rd of October

Queensland:
Brisbane International Film Festival: 27th of October (with Q&A) & 1st of November
Toowoomba BCC Cinemas "SFF's Travelling Film Festival" : 2nd November (with Q&A) Bundaberg Moncrieff Entertainment Centre: 3rd November (with Q&A)
