Teigen Allen made her debut for the Matildas in 2010, showcasing her defensive prowess on the international stage until her last international game in 2019. Beginning her football journey with the Lakemba Lions and later the Emu Plains grassroots clubs, Allen's talent quickly propelled her to the top echelons of the sport.

During her football career, Allen participated in two World Cups (2011 and 2019) and two Asian Cups (2010 and 2014), contributing to the Matildas' success with 40 international appearances. Her versatility as a defender was further evident in the domestic arena, where she accumulated 142 A-League Women appearances, netting a goal in the process. Allen's impactful presence graced several clubs, including Sydney FC (58 appearances), Western Sydney Wanderers (29 appearances, 1 goal), Melbourne Victory (21 appearances), Melbourne City (19 appearances), and most recently, the Newcastle Jets (15 appearances in the 2022-23 season).
