Rice vs North Texas showed a game where UNT had to win to play in the Conference USA Championship game, Rice QB AJ Padgett (13-22 229 yards TD int) was a true Freshman in this game and will grow from this once he gets experience under his belt. Austin Aune (16-29 203 yards 2 TD) played a confused game and afraid of the big moment. The score was UNT 21 Rice 17 in a game where UNT used the running game to prevail them to victory.
