Please join Judge Ron Rangel and his guest Jim Bethke, executive director of Bexar County’s new Managed Assigned Counsel Office, who will discuss how “the MAC” will help execute our county’s local Indigent Defense Plan, state Fair Defense laws, and the Texas and U.S. Constitutions. As one of many Bexar County criminal justice reforms, this MAC will be the largest such office in the United States. This once-in-generation change to indigent defense is sure to continue our fight for quality representation of Bexar County’s indigent accused.
