Born in Texas and raised in Calgary, Tyler was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in 2008 and won the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL's top rookie in 2010. With a career spanning over a decade, Tyler has played for the Buffalo Sabres, Winnipeg Jets, and Vancouver Canucks. Off the ice, Tyler is a devoted family man, spending his summers in Kelowna with his wife and three children.
