NEW DELHI: The United States has set a deadline of the end of next month for withdrawing its troops from Afghanistan, marking an end to a nearly two-decade long war it launched soon after Al Qaeda terrorists attacked multiple sites in America on what came to be known as 9/11. The American initiative is a throwback to the Vietnam War, with the world’s most powerful military drawing a blank yet again.
