兒童文學作家林煥彰老師，受到現代詩的影響、現代化後走向明朗的詩風，在「雲」發表之後，就是實際的生活感受，因此有評論家描述煥彰老師是位生活寫實的作家，煥彰老師也說一定要認真生活以及認真的觀察和思考。
在兩岸四地煥彰老師的詩作都有在課本當中，他也表示「仿做」教學很容易讓孩子依賴跟誤導，當然老師要比較辛苦，要準備各種的教材。因此他鼓勵要多閱讀，仔細觀察就能夠悟出一些道理，當然啟發與引導是最為重要的；另外，在捷運上也有老師的作品如「下雨」。
煥彰老師也談到，他要寫一行詩，也就是瓶中禪中詩，將這一行詩放在酒瓶裡，他笑著說：「序我已經想好了，酒不是我喝的、詩是我寫的」，原來詩人一直都很浪漫、幽默。
當問起老師是否會碰到瓶頸，他說當然會，然而有些瓶頸會特別的窄有些瓶頸比較寬，跳脫瓶頸、因為每個人都可以寫詩。煥彰老師每天寫詩，都會分享給朋友，訪問煥彰老師之後，我也有幸能夠欣賞老師的詩作。同時他也鼓勵想成為兒童文學作家的朋友，能夠喚起童心、並且有純真的觀念。
