A man in London, Ontario has decided to fight for a bylaw that will see bylaw officers be able to save animals that are left in cars on a hot summer day. This comes after he encountered an incident where a dog was left in a car with cracked windows. He argues that when he called the police and confronted the owners, police said that what the owners did was not against the law.
