New sign, The state of Burlington, And LRT debate refuses to die

City hall may finally get a Hamilton sign! The proposed sign would be about 2.25 metres tall, about 2 metres deep and 20 metres long with the letters being multicoloured and tall enough to stand in. Funds for the sign would be raised by the private sector and is estimated to cost $250,000.

Opponents of the incoming LRT system are still at it. A group is pushing for a reevaluation of transit options, including Bus Rapid Transit and for a look at the environmental assessment. The Minister of Environment now has 35 days to decide whether to order further studies or allow the project to proceed.
