Greetings, and welcome to The End Last Week, This Week, and Next Week, the podcast companion to The End, the website and newsletter that shines a light back on audio fiction shows after they've reached the finale of a season or the conclusion of the series. I am your host and the curator of The End, Evo Terra.

Let’s get into it, shall we?

Last Week

The most recent issue of The End—the 59th—highlighted 6 shows in either the Complete Series or Season Finales section, and only 1 of them wrapped in the last few days.

  • 🏼‍♂️🦹🏼‍♀️🎙 • The Late Night Power Hour with Chip Silver, a dramatized late night talkshow set in a world with superheroes from Ari Goldberg & Asylum Podcasts, posted the season 1 finale on October 13th. You’ll need about five and a half hours to listen to the 10 episodes of that first season.
  • And be sure to listen to the end of the audio file to hear a trailers for this show.

This Week

With every issue, I make two recommendations for great audio fiction I personally love. As with all things in life, YMMV.

  • 🤘🏼🎸🛸 • My first recommendation is Who Killed Avril Lavigne?, a dramatized scifi comedy series from Super Normal Productions. Come for the 90s music, and stay for the comedy. This one is a non-stop riot that hits all the marks for a quality show. Here’s the trailer: [trailer plays] Who Killed Avril Lavigne is fully complete, and you’ll need about four and a half hours to enjoy it all. It’s worth it.
  • 🚀🔧🌌 • My next recommendation is We Fix Space Junk, a dramatized scifi comedy series from Battle Bird Productions. Now, Space Junk has made a few appearances in The End, but this is it’s first time being feature. You see, I didn't think this show was for me, but then I listened and proved myself wrong. It's funny and thoughtful at the same time. A nice and cozy listen, I think! Here’s a bit of “previously on” to see if you may think so too: [trailer plays] We Fix Space Junk has a 5th season coming out next year, but you’ll want to take the nearly 15 hours to catch up on the prior 4 seasons’ 48 episodes

Next Week

The latest issue of The End has 9 entries in the New Seasons Coming Soon section, and three of them start up again in the next few days.

  • Season 2 of Chaika, a dramatized dystopian scifi from Karin Heimdahl & Y2K Productions, starts on 20 Oct 2023. Catch up on season 1 in about three and a half hours🚀😥🕊️

  • Season 6 of The White Vault, a dramatized horror from Fool & Scholar Productions, starts on 24 Oct 2023. It’ll take you about 26 hours to get fully caught up on the first five seasons. 💀❄️😈

  • Season 6 of The Mistholme Museum of Mystery Morbidity and Mortality, a dramatised supernatural mystery from Dom Guilfoyle, starts on 26 Oct 2023. If you’re brand new to the show, you’ll need about 26 hours to get fully caught up on the first five seasons.🤖🧚‍♂️😱

Trailers or snippets for the first two shows I mentioned in this episode are coming your way right after I say…
