On April 27, 1961 Sierra Leone became independent. Sonia is Joined by Koehun, a young Sierra Leonean historian who enjoys reimagining the future, and Junior, another young Sierra Leone who is also a history enthusiast. Together, they discuss pre colonial history in Sierra Leone, ethnic tensions in Sierra Leone, and what led to independence. As Sierra Leone enters its 60th year of independence, they question if anything will really change, and what we can do to help.
