I recently tried to talk to someone via Instagram comments about a homophobic comment they made, and they brushed me off. Was it a mistake to attempt to correct someone through such a medium? What can be said of the urge of correction, even in this digital platform? I can see how it would be effective in person, the subject in question would have no choice but to hear and see you correcting them. On the internet, though, there's no real way to ensure accountability from the position I was in. It felt like a waste of my energy overall, but greatly put me off to the person in question nonetheless. I've been trying to be more insular, and taking time to myself, to understand myself, and the only obstacle I can see in that path is social media. Here comes that broken record again. Speaking of which, I broke a record today while cleaning it, I have no idea why it was so brittle, but yeah. A chunk broke off in my hand. Really disappointing. This episode is not disappointing, however. It's got a great mix of rock n roll, punk, and ambiance. I'm talking Super Mario 64 Dire Dire Docks shit. Check it out.
